Since 2006, Ben has focused solely on family law.  There are very few family law challenges that Ben has not encountered sometime over the past sixteen years:

  • Family Code Section 730 Evaluations;
  • Substance and alcohol abuse;
  • Domestic violence against both spouse and child;

    • Complex tracing of separate and community assets and debts
    • Self-employment income, earning ability;
    • Complex claims for reimbursement and credits under the Family Code
    • Disposition of real property both with equity and without, timeshare calculation
    • Valuation of community and separate property business
  • Breach of fiduciary duty claims
  • Child and spousal support:
    • Wage imputation
    • Determination of Spousal Support pursuant to Family Code Section 4320;
  • Determination of Paternity involving genetic testing and multiple provisions of the Family code
  • Representation of guardians in guardianship cases
  • Appointed to represent children in guardianship and dependency cases
  • Represented clients in criminal cases, including both felony and misdemeanor cases:
    • DUI; domestic violence; theft; attempted murder with gang enhancements; welfare fraud; indecent exposure; Medicare fraud; DMV administrative hearings on license suspensions
