Rates and Fees

Ramsey Legal Services provides advice and representation on your family law, estate, or civil rights matter.  There are usually several different ways to utilize this office which will affect the cost of the representation, and Ramsey Legal Services makes every effort to maximize the value of our work. To retain us as counsel of record, we require payment of a retainer and execution of our Attorney-Client Fee Agreement.  The size of the retainer depends on the work that needs to be done and the specific needs of the client, but the retainer must be paid prior to our commencing representation.  Ramsey Legal Services does not accept partial payments towards a full retainer.

The retainer is deposited in our attorney client trust account, and the client receives a monthly invoice showing an itemized listing of the work that was done on the client’s behalf and the trust funds that were used to pay the attorney’s hourly fee.  The invoice also shows what the client’s current trust balance is so the client always knows where he or she stands financially.  Any questions regarding fees are answered at no charge.

Ben Ramsey charges $350.00 per hour for representation in all family law matters.

Samantha Ramsey charges $300.00 per hour for representation in civil rights matters as well as family law matters.

Estate planning is generally done on a flat fee basis, depending on the complexity of the testamentary document(s) needed as determined in the initial consultation.

We offer stand alone consultations at $300 per hour.  For more information about fees charged for consultations, please see Why do we charge for a consultation?
